How It Works
As more solicitors continue to post new project opportunities and bidders continue to search for work opportunities, the marketplace experiences its growth through the network effect phenomenon; exponentially growing in members and content. As this phenomenon continues and bidders continually submit bid proposals through Shortlister, job costing information for all varieties of projects and product-types become beneficially accessible by Shortlister members. After a project bid deadline has expired, Shortlister aggregates submitted bid information into its database in order for members to perform comprehensive and multi-dimensional searches for very specific unit cost information. Such functionality allows members to search unit cost information by geography, project type and product type in order to be more knowledgeable about construction costs. In addition to unit cost information, Shortlister's search functionality allows members to see the number of professionals that have submitted bids matching their search criteria and approximate the number of available professionals that are actively bidding on their desired project-type.
